Disney Cruise Dining - Triton's Breakfast Review
On
select mornings Triton’s is open for breakfast. It is also open for lunch on
select days, but we did not have the opportunity to try it – there is only so
much food that you can eat during a seven night cruise.
Now,
onto the food. The menu is a la carte – you can order anything that you like
and as much of it.
After
we were seated we were offered a selection of pastries while we waited to
order.
From
the main menu we selected four options.
The
Kid’s Melon Boat was a simple, but creative dish. A singles slice of sweet
honey dew melon was cut into the shape of a boat and was served with juicy
orange slice and sweet and tangy strawberry yogurt.
The
Disney Cruise Line Trio was a delicious and fluffy combination of French toast,
a pancake, and a waffle. All three were quite tasty.
The
Eggs Benedict was a tower of English muffin, Canadian bacon, poached egg and hollandaise
sauce, as you would expect. Guests can request that their eggs be cooked to
their liking, however if you do not make a special request the eggs will come
out fully cooked. Overall it was a tasty dish, though.
The
Waffle Sandwich was as the name implies a sandwiches of two waffles with dulce
de leche spread in between. The spread paired well with the waffles. It was
served with juicy and sweet watermelon wedges. This is not a breakfast for
those who don’t like overly sweet things.
It
was a satisfying meal, however we preferred the more fluid option like the
buffet for breakfast.
