What We're Loking Forward to on Our Next Disney World Trip
The World’s Most Magical Celebration, also known as Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, began on October 1, 2021. We are officially one month into the 18-month long celebration! When Disney celebrates, they celebrate big. This celebration includes so much to see, do, eat, and experience. It’s not possible to experience everything in one trip to the Walt Disney World Resort, so we’re glad that we have annual passes, and don’t live very far away, so that we can experience everything that we want to before the end of the celebration. What are we looking forward to experiencing on our first trip during this celebration?!
Our last trip to Disney World wasn’t that long ago,
just over a month ago. We left the Walt Disney World Resort two days before the
anniversary celebration officially started. The decorations throughout the parks,
especially on the castle, and the golden statues were all in place during our last
trip. The official celebration festivities had not begun, though.
Here’s what we’re looking forward to most on our next
trip! These are in no particular order.
Treats – We’ve said this many, many times, and we’ll
most likely say it many, many more – we love Disney treats. We’re looking
forward to trying some of the 50th anniversary exclusive treats
around the parks. Some of those that we’re most looking forward to are: 50th
Celebration Cupcake, the Glimmer and Shimmer Blondie, Disney’s
Hollywood Studios 50th Celebration Sandwich Cookie, and the Celebration Hot
Dog.
Mickey Celebration Cavalcade – As a family, we love
cavalcades. We like that we don’t have to stake out a spot hours before they
start, like with parades. We can walk up as we hear the music change, watch for
the minute or two it takes for the characters to pass, and then move onto our
next thing, Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade is brand new, and features Mickey
and friends in their brand-new outfits.
Disney Enchantment – We love a good fireworks show. We’ve
watched this new one from home, but we’re excited to see it in person. A lot
people of people have expressed that they don’t like it because it isn’t Happily
Ever After. However, when Happily Ever After first started, people didn’t like
it either.
Beacons of Magic – Each evening Cinderella Castle,
Spaceship Earth, Tower of Terror, and the Tree of Life are transformed, and we’re
excited to see it.
Early Entry – We were lucky enough to get to take
advantage of this perk on our last trip, and we’re excited to do it again.
Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels, and a few other select
hotels, are able to enter the four parks 30 minutes early every day. We took
advantage of this at Epcot and Hollywood Studios at the end of September, and
it made a world of difference for the big-name rides like Rise of the
Resistance and Frozen Ever After. A Park Pass Reservation is required.
Golden Statues – We got to see most of the 50 character
statures that can be found throughout the four parks, however we did miss a few
at Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom, and we did not get to Animal Kingdom on
our last visit. We’ll be sure to see all 50 this time.
KiteTails – We’re also looking forward to seeing the
new show at Animal Kingdom!
France Pavilion – We’re all so excited to check out
the newly opened expansion of the France Pavilion at Epcot! We’re hoping to be
able to get a boarding group for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and we’re
looking forward to trying at crepe from Emporter by La Creperie de Paris.
