A Picky Eater's Guide to Dining on Disney Cruise Line

We’ve talked about all of the food that we’ve enjoyed during our six cruises so far, and you can expect that to continue after our upcoming cruises as well! Today, though, we’re going to talk about the choices that are available for those picky eaters in your life.
All four of us like to try new things. Since both kids started eating solid foods we’ve tried to get them to venture away from the standard chicken nuggets and mac and cheese. We love both of those, but there are so many other options to try, especially on the ship! When Christian was three he ordered roast duck from Triton’s! You never know whether you like something or not unless you try it.

We know that not everyone is an adventurous eater, and for those picky eaters Disney has you covered with plenty of options!

Breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! You’ll need energy to fuel your day on the ship and there are options that even the pickiest eaters will enjoy.

Eggs (Scrambled, Omelets, Eggs Benedict)
Donuts
Oatmeal
Cereal.
Yogurt
Fruit
Pancakes
Mickey Waffles

Lunch
Lunch is available from a variety of locations on all four ships including Quick Service locations by the pool, Cabanas, Room Service, and one of the Main Dining Rooms each day. With so many places and items to choose from you’re sure to find something that everyone will enjoy.

Chicken Tenders – sometimes you’ll find chicken nuggets at Cabanas, but you’ll also find chicken tenders at the quick service locations by the pool, and from room service.
Mac and Cheese
Fries
Hot dogs
Pizza
Peanut Butter and Jelly (Uncrustables from Room Service)

Dinner
Dinner is served in the main dining rooms each night, but you can also stop by the quick service locations on deck for a bite to eat as well. Additionally, Cabanas serves dinner sit down style.

While the kids aren’t really picky, we’ve had a couple of occasions where they’ve made special requests at dinner. During our back to back sailings two years ago Christian requested grilled cheese one night at dinner, and while it wasn’t on the menu our server put in the order! A table mate on one of those sailings also ordered a hot dog and was pleased when it arrived just the way they like it!

While not guaranteed, most servers, and kitchen staffs, have a goal of making the guest happy. If there’s not something on the menu that interests you, you can request something else. If nothing on the kid’s menu interests your kids, they’re free to order from the adult menu. And adults are more than welcome to order a kid’s menu item as well!

Main Dining Room regular menu items that are sure to satisfy picky eaters include:
Bread
Mac and Cheese
Chicken Tenders
Fries
Plain Pasta
Fruit

Snacks
Throughout the day snacks are available as well! Guests can order cookies, Mickey bars, Cake of the Day, and more from Room Service. Additionally cookies available from the Flo’s and Daisy’s. And the most important snack of all is the soft-serve ice cream from Eye Cream Treats!

As you can see, there’s something to satisfy every appetite on a Disney Cruise!
