Raglan Road Dinner Review

As a family we LOVE Irish food, and Raglan Road offers great food in a great atmosphere. If you’ve never been to Raglan Road you’re missing out!

Atmosphere
Located in the heart of Disney Springs Raglan Road is a mix of restaurant and lively Irish pub that serves up modern takes on traditional Irish eats. The chefs and owners of Ragland Road, you know that you’ll get an authentic experience here!

Throughout the day guests can experience live entertainment, including Irish dancing and music, right in the middle of the restaurant. It’s a lively place with great fun and great eats!

If you prefer a table be sure to make a reservation in advance for lunch, dinner, or weekend brunch. Seating is also available on the outdoor patio and at the bar.

The Food

The meal begins with Brown Bread with Guinness Glaze. Soft bread that’s delicious on its own is even more delicious when dipped in the glaze made from Guinness and sugar that’s brought to the table with it.

Since we were on the Plus Dining Plan on this trip we did not order appetizers. We did, however, each order an entrée.

The Kid’s Macaroni and Cheese was creamy, cheesy and delicious. The portion was HUGE, which was great. Christian enjoyed what he wanted of it, and Bella was able to eat some of it as well. After that there was still some left over! Christian opted for his meal to come with French Fries (we were on vacation), and the steak fry style fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside – just like fries should be served! There were no fries left at the end of the meal.

We ordered the Bangin’ Bangers & Mighty Mash.  Savory Guinness and onion sausage served over creamy mashed potatoes. It’s all topped with delicious traditional onion gravy that rounds out the whole dish. This is one of my personal favorite Irish dishes, and I love to get it here.

We also ordered the Braised Be Beef. Tender, flavorful braised beef served with colcannon mashed potatoes. Colcannon is a traditional Irish dish of potatoes and cabbage, and Raglan Road’s version is creamy and delicious. The beef is also served with tender roasted veggies that include carrots and brussel sprouts. Overall the dish was quite satisfying.

We finished the meal with our favorite dessert here - Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding. Before I tell you about this dish let me tell you that I have a tried a lot of bread puddings, and we really, really like bread pudding. This is, hands down, the BEST bread pudding we have ever had – our homemade version included.

The pudding comes to the table in a large mug that is on a platter with a vanilla crème anglaise sauce and a caramel sauce. The bread pudding is moist, and rich from all the butter! Hints of sweetness come from raisins throughout the dish and the vanilla and caramel sauces complete the dish. If you like bread pudding this dish is for you! If you don’t like sweet desserts you might want to pass on this one. I personally can’t wait to eat it again!

Overall
We’re big fans of Ragland Road. We’ve eaten at the lively Irish pub four times now, and we’re looking forward to a trip back again someday! We really enjoy the atmosphere, the entertainment, and, of course, the food! We highly recommend dining at Ragland Road during your next trip to Disney Springs.
