Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios

At the Walt Disney World Resort guests can feel as though they have shrunk down to be the size of toys at Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios! Our family loves Toy Story, and we were all really excited when Toy Story Land was officially announced, when it opened, and especially when we got to finally visit the land as part of your trip last month! Today we have for you a look into Toy Story Land.

From the moment the land was officially announced Disney fans everywhere eagerly awaited the opening of a land that would allow guests to see the world from the point of view of a toy. The highly anticipated Toy Story Land opened on June 30, 2018.

Getting to Toy Story Land is simple – once you enter into Hollywood Studios follow the sidewalk or street to the area right to the right of the Chinese Theater. Using the steps or the ramp make your way towards Walt Disney Presents (formerly One Man’s Dream.)

You have now found your way to Toy Story Land, now what?

The new Toy Story Land has a lot to offer for the whole family. From the moment you enter guests are surrounded by fun, and colorful details. Building blocks, toy gliders, Christmas lights, Tinker Toys, the Luxo (Pixar) Ball, Elmer’s Glue bottles, Green Army men, Andy’s footprints, and so much more can be found throughout the land. You’ll also find much larger than life Buzz Lightyear and Woody statute that make for great photo opportunities.

One of my favorite places for details is the queue area for the Slinky Dog Dash attraction. Here you’ll see Green Army Men holding up an Elmer’s Glue bottle, board game boards, pencils, drawings done by Andy himself, and Buster’s collar!

Also, throughout the day the Green Army Patrol makes appearances and provides entertainment!

Attractions
There are three attractions in Toy Story Land.

Toy Story Mania got a new entrance and queue area as part of the Toy Story Land’s opening. The ride itself is still the same fun, 3D game/ride experience that we’ve all come to know and love.

Alien Swirling Saucers is a new attraction that allows guests to board flying saucers to swirl around with those adorable three-eyed little green men from Pizza Planet. The ride itself is exactly like Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree at Disney’s California Adventure Park.

The last attraction is Slinky Dog Dash. This family roller coaster takes you for a ride through Andy’s yard on a track that he built. The ride vehicle is Slink Dog himself!

Characters
Throughout the day guests can meet Toy Story favorites Jessie and Woody near the Toy Story Mania attraction, and Buzz Lightyear is available near the Toy Story Land entrance.

Shopping
Toy Story toys and other goodies are available at toy merchandise kiosks – one is located shortly after entering the land and the other is near the bridge that takes you to the Slinky Dog Dash entrance.

Food
Hungry? Head to Woody’s Lunch Box! Andy appears to have left his lunch box and thermos in the yard and the toys have turned it into a quick-service restaurant. The seating area is themed just like the rest of the land. Keep in mind that this area can get crowded around peak meal times.

Woody’s Lunch Box is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and offers Mobile Ordering.

The breakfast menu features:
Breakfast Bowl
Smoked Turkey Breakfast Sandwich
S’more French Toast Sandwich
Banana Split Yogurt Parfait

Lunch and Dinner feature:
BBQ Brisket Melt
Grilled Three-Cheese Sandwich
Smoked Turkey Sandwich
“Totchos”

Raspberry Lunch Box Tarts and Chocolate Hazelnut Lunch Box Tart (both are delicious) are available all day! Guests can also enjoy Ice Cream Floats with Barq’s Root Beer throughout the day.

We ate at Woody’s Lunch Box for lunch during our day at Hollywood Studios – we’ll be sharing our review in the next few weeks.

Toy Story Land is an incredibly detailed and fun Land that has something for everyone. We really enjoyed starting our day with the Toys. Christian LOVES Toy Story, and it took Howard and I back to our childhood. We can’t wait to experience it all again!
