A Look Ahead at 2020

Is it just me or did 2019 fly by?! It has been an exciting year at the Disney Parks and the excitement and magic will continue into 2020. Before we look at what is coming to Disney World, Disneyland, and Disney Cruise Line in 2020, let’s take a look back 2019. 2019 Mickey’s Birthday Party ! Mickey and Minnie Mouse celebrated their 90 th birthday in November 2018 and the celebration continued into 2019. The Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts hosted celebrations that included special meet and greets, merchandise, and treats!                 The Incredibles  came back to Hollywood Studios! Mr. and Mrs. Incredible and Frozone took part in a Incredibles Dance Party Guests also had the opportunity to follow clues to try and find Jack-Jack, meet fashion mogul Edna Mode, and enjoy Num Num Cookies at Pixar Place. All this will be taking place at Hollywood Studios. Everyone’s favorite monsters, Mike and Sulley,  returned to Hollywood Studios. As Part of Hollywood Stu

Our Favorite Walt Disney World Resorts

The Walt Disney World Resort has so many options when it comes to places to stay! With three resort levels, and each resort with a unique theme all its own, there is something for everyone! We’ve talked about each of the resort levels before, but today were here to talk about our favorite resorts to stay at and to visit! Stay All-Star Resorts - We’ve stayed at All-Star Music twice, All-Star Movies twice, and All-Star Sports once. I personally have another stay at All-Star Sports booked for next year as well. We love that these three resorts offer larger than life theming, great food at the food courts, fun pools, a jogging path the runs in front of all three resorts, and the price point. We also love that All/Star Music offers family suites that sleep up to 6 for less than the cost of a family suite at Art of Animation. While some guests don’t like that the three resorts share buses during non-peak hours during the day it doesn’t bother us at all. After all, three resorts are

A Picky Eater's Guide to Dining on Disney Cruise Line

We’ve talked about all of the food that we’ve enjoyed during our six cruises so far, and you can expect that to continue after our upcoming cruises as well! Today, though, we’re going to talk about the choices that are available for those picky eaters in your life. All four of us like to try new things. Since both kids started eating solid foods we’ve tried to get them to venture away from the standard chicken nuggets and mac and cheese. We love both of those, but there are so many other options to try, especially on the ship! When Christian was three he ordered roast duck from Triton’s! You never know whether you like something or not unless you try it. We know that not everyone is an adventurous eater, and for those picky eaters Disney has you covered with plenty of options! Breakfast Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! You’ll need energy to fuel your day on the ship and there are options that even the pickiest eaters will enjoy. Eggs (Scrambled, Omelet

Why We Love Magic Kingdom

We have come to the fourth and final Walt Disney World theme park. Magic Kingdom has something that is truly special. It was the first park at the Resort, it has the Castle, and it has a sense of, well, magic. Over the past couple of months we have talked about why we love the different Disney World Parks (Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and Epcot). This week we have for you Why We Love Magic Kingdom! It Came First – Magic Kingdom was the first Walt Disney World Park and because of that there is an extra bit of magic to it. Cinderella Castle – Before you even enter the park you can see the beauty that is Cinderella Castle. The views get even better as you enter the park and make your way down Main Street and around the Castle. My favorite view of the castle is from the side next to Sleepy Hollow Refreshments. Main Street U.S.A . – As you enter the park you’re transported back in time to a more simple time. Visit the Town Square Theater to meet Tinker Bell and Mickey

Old and New - A Disney Magic Class Ships and Disney Dream Class Ships Comparison

As a family we’ve taken six Disney Cruises since August 2015. We’re so thankful that we’ve had the opportunity to do so, and that we have three more cruises booked for the future at the moment. Our most recent cruise on the Disney Fantasy was our first opportunity to sail on one of the bigger and newer Dream class ships! So, we’ve taken one cruise on a bigger ship, our next cruise is on the Dream, and we’ve sailed on the smaller Magic class ships five times (Magic – 1 and Wonder – 4)! Today we have for you a comparison of BIGGER and smaller Disney Cruise Line ships. The first, and most obvious difference between the two classes of ships is the overall size of the ships. Dream Class Ships: ·          14 Decks ·          1,115 ft. ·          130,000 tons ·          Capacity – 4,000 Passengers, 1,458 Crew Magic Class Ships: ·          11 Decks ·          984 ft. ·          84,000 tons ·          Capacity – 2,713 Passengers, 950 Crew Speaking from experie

Why We Love Epcot!

Each of the four Walt Disney World parks has so much to offer and we love each of the four parks for different reason. We’ve talked about why we love Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios , and today we’re going to talk about why we love Epcot! A lot of people tend to skip Epcot, or not spend as much time there as some of the other parks. As a family we all love Epcot, and personally it is my favorite park! So, why do we love Epcot?! Snacks – We’ve talked about our love for Disney snacks before and Epcot is the leader in tasty snacks, at least for us. Each of the eleven counties around World Showcase offers unique and cultural snacks. One of our favorites is School Bread from the Norway Pavilion. Test Track – You do feel the need for speed? If so then Test Track is the perfect ride for you! Christian was so excited to finally be tall enough to ride Test Track on our last trip and he loved it! See how cars are tested before they hit the road, and experience 65 MPH in a c

20+ Tips for a Disney Cruise with Babies and Toddlers

We’ve taken our fair share of cruises over the past four years and in our six cruises we’ve learned a lot! A few posts ago we shared our Disney Cruise Line tips that we hope help you have a magical cruise! All of our cruises so far have included taking a baby or toddler. Christian was 14 months old on our first cruise and on our last cruise Bella was 9 months old. We have a few more cruises with “little” little ones and we’re looking forward to making more memories with our little cruisers. Whether you’re sailing for the first time or your next cruise will be your first time cruising with a baby or toddler we hope that these tips help! Don’t Over Pack - It’s important to have what you need, but it’s also important to not over pack. Many items like pack n plays, bottle warmers, bed rails, diaper genies, and more are available to use onboard. Make Requests - Request bedrails, or a pack and play online/over the phone before your cruise. If your child is under four the system

Why We Love Disney's Hollywood Studios

Each of the four theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort has so much to love – rides, attractions, characters, dining options! A couple of weeks ago we talked about why we love Animal Kingdom and this week we’re excited to talk about why we love Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Hollywood Studios has seen quite a few changes in the last few years. Some popular attractions – like Studio Backlot Tour and The Great Movie Ride – have closed, but new attractions, and in some cases lands have replaced them. So, why do we love Hollywood Studios? 50’s Prime Time Café – This eatery allows you to step back in time to the 1950s. Household items from the era are the décor for this restaurant and at some tables you’ll find small black and white TVs showing a reel of commercials and bits of shows from the 50s. The atmosphere is fun, everyone is family here – but be sure to eat your vegetables and keep your elbows off the table! In addition to the fun, the food is a big reason we love t
