Educational (And FUN!) Experiences at Walt Disney World

The Walt Disney World Resort is all about family fun, Magic, food and even a little educational value. Your little ones aren't sure how they feel about learning on vacation? They won't even know that it's happening! These educational experiences at Disney World are full of fun and Disney magic - they'll even make you feel less guilty about taking your little ones out of school for your trip! Or if you're going in the summer time they'll help to make sure that they, and you, keep learning throughout the year!


Epcot

World Showcase – This part of the park is full of opportunities to learn about different cultures! From native foods and gifts to architecture as well as the chance to talk to cultural ambassadors from each of the nations represented. Little ones can also learn from and color with someone from each nation at Kidcot stations located in each pavilion.

Living with the Land – Located in the Land Pavilion this boat ride teaches about different climates around the world. It also takes you through greenhouses where they grow food that is served in the park!

The Seas with Nemo and Friends – Learn all about marine life in the Seas Pavilion – see dolphins, manatee, fish and more!

Test Track – Believe it or not this fast moving thrill ride can teach you something, too! Learn all about how cars are made and tested at Test Track.

Innoventions – Learn all about colors and how they affect our lives at the interactive Colortopia exhibit inside Innoventions.

Animal Kingdom

Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail – See and learn about amazing animals like Gorillas, Okapi, hippos and African birds.

Maharajah Jungle Trek – Majestic tigers, bats and more await you on the trail that teaches you all about the wonderful animals that are native to Asia.

Discovery Island Trails – Get up close to the Tree of Life and learn about animals like cranes, lemurs, red kangaroos, others and more on these wild paths.

The Oasis Exhibits - These exhibits located near the park entrance allow you to learn about animals like the giant anteater, barking deer, and wallaby!

Kilimanjaro Safaris – Sit back and relax as you are transported to Africa for a safari full of animal sightings and animal facts from your driver.

Rafiki’s Planet Watch – Take the train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch where you can learn all about conservation, the animals that can be found in your own backyard and what you can do to help and protect them as well as get up close and personal with animals like sheep and goats.

Wilderness Explorers – This fun and interactive activity takes you all around the parks to complete educational tasks like learning about African and Asian culture, learning about animals – including dinosaurs – and more! All on the course to earning your Senior Wilderness Explorer badge!

Hollywood Studios
One Man’s Dream – Learn all about history and film making through this walk-through and short film exhibit all about Walt Disney and his company.  

Magic Kingdom
Carousel of Progress – Learn about the changes and innovations that were made over the course of the last century as you take a trip through history.

Hall of Presidents – The Presidents of the United States have gathered to tell you all about the path that this county has taken to get to where it is now. Learn from the show, but also from the historical pieces found in the waiting area.
