Disney's Castaway Cay

Located in the Bahamas Disney’s Castaway Cay is Disney Cruise Line’s private island. The island port of call is part of many Bahamas and Caribbean cruise itineraries and some itineraries include two stops at the beautiful Castaway Cay. Want to know more? Read on!



Castaway Cay is a beautiful island offering fun, sun and Disney magic in the Bahamas. All four Disney ships make stops at the island and pull right up to the port! So disembark and let’s see what fun this island paradise has to offer.

Fun

Characters – The fun begins as soon as you step back onto dry land with character meet and greets with favorite like Mickey, Minnie, Stitch, Chop and Dale, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, Goofy, Pluto and Captain Jack Sparrow.

Beaches – There is tons of space for everyone to have fun in the water and in the sand! Splash and swim in the lagoon and relax in the shaded lounge chairs.

Snorkeling – Guests can also take part in snorkeling in the snorkeling lagoon – equipment is available for rent at the beach.

Spring-a-Leak – Cool off in this HUGE 2,400-square foot water play area in the remains of a washed away beach dwelling.

Pelican Plunge – Take the plunge at Pelican Plunge a platform located in the lagoon that offers two water slides and bucket that dumps hundreds of gallons of water onto fun seekers.

Boats – Stop by the Boat Beach for a whole new way to see the island with stand-up paddleboards, paddleboats, sea kayaks and aqua trikes!

Games – In Da Shade Game Pavilion offers basketball, table tennis, billiards and foosball near the family beach.

Sports – Enjoy tetherball and beach volleyball at the sports beach.

Bike Rentals – See the beauty of the island with a set of wheels!  Rent a bike near the sports beach and see the island trails.

Stingrays – Pet and feed stingrays as part of Castaway Ray’s Stingray Adventure

Scuttle’s Cove – Little ones can enjoy supervised fun at this on-island kid’s club! Available for ages 3-12.

Teen Hideout – Teens can get away and relax at this on-island teen oasis. Available for ages 13-17.

Mail a Post Card – Mail a post card to a loved one from the island post office or mail it to your own home for a fun souvenir. Note that is can take a few months for post cards to arrive.  

Serenity Bay – This adult only beach allows for true relaxation away from your little ones.

5K – Guests can also take part in a 5K on the island! It is a great way to see the island, everyone gets a medal and it’s a lot of fun! Available for guests 10 and older.


Food and Drink

After all that fun you’re going to be hungry! Don’t worry – there are two family BBQ restaurants on the island, Cookies and Cookies Too that offer a variety of eats like fish, ribs, burgers, hot dogs, salads, chips and more! There is also a fresh fruit stand, soft-drink machine and soft-serve ice cream that is all included! There is also an adult only BBQ location at Serenity Bay.

Bars – Multiple bars around the island offer cool adult beverages.
Olaf’s Summertime Freeze – Guests can enjoy specialty frozen beverages from Olaf’s.


Shopping
The island also offers a variety of shopping opportunities like Bahamian Retail and Disney items can be found at Buy the Seashore and She Sells Seashells and Everything Else.
