The Ganachery at Disney Springs

Chocolate – there are so many different options, each one that I’ve ever tried has been delicious. I know, there are some people that can’t have regular chocolate because of allergies, whether to the chocolate or to the milk that is found in it – but even for those people there are options. For those that just flat out don’t like chocolate, though, you’re a bit of a mystery to me. It’s creamy, it’s rich, and it tastes good with just about anything. If you don’t like chocolate, though, you might want to close out of this post and just wait for the next one because it’s going to be ALL ABOUT CHOCOLATE!

The Ganachery at Disney Springs in Florida is a one of a kind experience – literally, it is the only one. Located in the Landing neighborhood of Disney Springs it is surrounded by amazing shopping and eating options, but this is one that you won’t want to miss.

The shop has only been open for a couple of months, but it has been delighting guests since the doors first opened. On our most recent trip to Disney World we spent half a day at Disney Springs and we just had to make The Ganachery one of our stops.

The Set Up

The shop itself is small, but it is full of what the focus of the shop is, chocolate. When you walk in to your right is the counter where you purchase your tasty treats as well as the display case of ganaches. Directly in front of you are the chocolate lollipops and chocolate bars. And to your left is a window where you can watch the chocolatiers make the ganache. That’s right, that ganache in the case that’s calling your name is made right there!

Don’t forget to look up! The ceiling resembles chocolate bars and there is also a lovely collection of chocolate pots, pots used to make things with chocolate, hanging from the ceiling.

There are nine different chocolate bars, all named a Disney character or place (Disneyland, Disneyland Paris and Aulani). We picked on of these up and will tell you all about a little bit later. There are also chocolate pearls and while were there Star Wars chocolates.

The main draw here, at least for us, was the ganache that is made in house! There are 16 different flavors to choose from! It is hard to choose – but we narrowed it down to six. An amazing chocolatier with a wealth of knowledge was behind the counter to help you decide and tell you all about each one.

Each ganache starts out the same with a rich, creamy dark chocolate and is then paired with a unique flavor which fills the middle of the tasty treat. Each square is also beautifully decorated in a way that lets you know what flavor it is.

Ganache squares will cost you $3 for one piece, $15 for six pieces, $21 for nine pieces, and $27 for twelve.

The Chocolate

We decided on six pieces of ganache and each of them was delicious. When you bit into the chocolate that is what you last, rich and creamy dark chocolate. As you chew though, you taste the accompanying flavor more and more, it starts out subtle, but it builds.

Dark 65% - This is the original, what all of the other flavors are added to. It is rich and creamy should be part of every box of ganache.

Caramel Fluer de Sel – We were informed that this their best seller and with good reason. Rich and creamy chocolate with smooth buttery caramel. The ganache is topped with Fleur de Sel which adds a crunch and an amazing saltiness that pairs well with both the chocolate and the caramel. Salted caramel is way better than regular caramel. This was our favorite of the six.

Chipotle – Chocolate and chilies are a great combination. The chipotle ganache is not spicy, but it is smoky and that smoky flavor pairs incredibly well with the rich and creamy chocolate

Egyptian Sea Salt – Rich and creamy dark chocolate with a kick of Egyptian Sea Salt. The salt is much saltier than the Fleur de Sel, but it is a flaky salt that comes from the Red Sea! It also does not have the caramel of the Fluer de Sel ganache to help round it out. It was certainly delicious, though.

Raspberry – Raspberry and chocolate is such a great combination and this ganache doesn’t disappoint. Rich raspberry flavor perfectly matched with rich and creamy chocolate.

Matcha-Yuzu – Japanese green tea and yuzu, a Japanese fruit, paired with dark chocolate. The green tea flavor is more prevalent than the yuzu, but it is not over powering. We really liked this one, and if you like green tea you’ll like it too.

The Disneyland Paris Chocolate Bar – Yum. Just like the Fluer de Sel ganache it is rich, creamy, buttery, and salty. The caramel inside the chocolate is not of a liquid than a solid so it strings when you break the bar apart. We are so glad that we chose this bar.

The ganache squares are packed in adorable little boxes and all of your purchases are packed in a Ganachery bag with bright blue tissue paper – truly elegant.

Overall

Everything we tried was amazing – all six ganache pieces were unique and equally delicious in their own ways. We can’t wait to stop in again on our next trip to Disney Springs. If you like chocolate and plan to find yourself at Disney World anytime soon make your way to Disney Springs and pick up some delicious decadence from The Ganachery.
