Earl of Sandwich Review

Earl of Sandwich is located in Downtown Disney at Disneyland and what is soon to be Disney Springs at Disney World. At Land it sits at the Disneyland Hotel end of Downtown Disney across from ESPN Zone and Rain Forest Cafe. At World it is in the Market Place District between Mickey's Panty and Once Upon a Toy, right by the Market Place Carousel.

As the name implies, this eatery, which has other locations not on Disney property, is named after the Earl of Sandwich. The Earl was the inventor of the sandwich. As I'm sure you've guessed, Earl of Sandwich serves sandwiches. Wraps, salads, sides, and desserts are also available at this always busy quick service restaurant.

After placing and paying for your order you will be given a pager that will go off when your food is ready. We know, this seems weird for a quick service location, but your food is served fresh and hot.

Food
There are so many options on the menu to include sandwiches, salads, wraps, soups, chips, pasta salads, macaroni and cheese, and desserts that everyone in your party will be able to find something to enjoy.

If you are at the Disney World location and on the dining plan you will be happy to know that you can use your credits here. For a quick service credit you will receive a sandwich/wrap/salad and a side.

Even if you are not on the dining plan or are at the Disneyland location the quality of the food is certainly worth the price. We have eaten at Earl of Sandwich three times, once at World and twice at Land, and everything we have had has been delicious.

On our most recent trip to this sandwich shop we tried the Full Montague and the BBQ Chicken sandwiches as well as two sides and a dessert.

The Full Montague features roasted beef, turkey, Swiss, cheddar, lettuce, Roma tomato and mustard sauce and is served hot. The sandwich is the perfect combo of meat and condiments. They all play together to make a delicious sandwich. The mustard is what really stood out and is akin to a spicy brown.

The BBQ Chicken sandwich is also served hot and features slices of chicken breast, cheese, lettuce, red onion, and tangy BBQ sauce. This sandwich is a messy one. The sauce is tangy and pairs well with the rest of the ingredients. The chicken is juicy and even though the sandwich is hot the lettuce and onion still provide a nice crunch.

The first side we shared was the Mediterranean Pasta Salad. Penne pasta, feta cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, and Kalamata olives in a Mediterranean dressing is served chilled. This salad was much like a Greek salad, but with pasta instead of greens. Quite satisfactory.

Our second side was macaroni and cheese. This was the last of the non-dessert items that we ate and it was still hot when we got to it. Elbow macaroni and melted cheddar cheese sauce. Yum. Some of the edges were slightly crispy, which we think is the best part.

From their bakery which features cupcakes and ice cream sandwich among other delicious baked goods we had the Peanut Butter Brownie Crème. Two soft chocolatey brownies with peanut butter cream sandwiched in between. If you are a chocolate and peanut butter fan, go for it.

Overall
We have never been disappointed with the food that we have received at Earl of Sandwich and we look forward to eating here again on our next trip to Disneyland.
