White Chocolate Elephant Cupake at Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery - Review

Disney cupcakes seem to have more draw than other cupcakes, at least they do for our family.

The cupcakes are delicious, creative, huge, and if you're on the dining plan are a great use for a snack credit.

The White Chocolate Elephant Cupcake from the Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery at Animal Kingdom is a great example of why Disney cupcakes are great.

The Bakery itself is located in the Africa section of Animal Kingdom between the Tusker House Restaurant and Kilimanjaro Safaris.  It could easily be passed by without a second glance because of it's hole in the wall appearance.   Although it is a hole in the wall with a cash register out front, they do serve good cupcakes.

Food

In the past, and the first time we had it, the White Chocolate Elephant Cupcake had the appearance and taste of a German chocolate cake. Since then, we found out on our last trip, the cupcake has changed. It is now a chocolate cupcake with chocolate butter-cream frosting, topped with a small amount of green icing for grass, large chocolate shavings, and a white chocolate elephant lollipop.

It is still a tasty cupcake, but sadly it is nothing compared to the previous version on this cake.

You should still check Kusafiri out even if this cupcake doesn't interest you. They have other cupcakes, like the Zebra Cupcake and the Lion Cub Cupcake, as well as brownies and cinnamon rolls.

Note: The cupcakes may not be available until 11am.
