Carrot Cake Cookie at The Writer's Stop - Review

I remember when I was little I thought that carrot cake was weird. Why would you put a vegetable in cake?! Well, for the past 10 years it has been my favorite cake, and at Disney World you can get this cake as a cookie!

This cookie can be found at the Writer's Stop in Hollywood Studios.

The Writer's Stop is located near the New York background in the Streets of America section of the park. If you don't know that it is actually a shop it just looks like another prop storefront like the others along the busy New York street. On our first two trips we did not know that this small shop existed, and we have Disney Food Blog to thank for our introduction to this quaint coffee shop.

The Writer's Stop has the feel of a small coffee shop with a small book section in the back. There are a few tables in the book section, but it may just be easier to take your treat and eat or drink it while on your way to the next attraction or to find a quiet place to sit. On our last trip we stopped in here just before Fantasmic and it was packed! It was January and I guess some people would consider it "chilly" - most people in line in front of me were ordering coffee.

Coffee and baked goods are the main draw here. Remember this is not Starbucks - if you're looking for Starbucks it is located at the Trolley Car Cafe near the entrance to the park. We have not tried the coffee here, so we cannot speak to how it is.

The display case showcases many delicious looking baked goods to include cookies and pastries. Most of which are available for snack credits. Pre-packaged snacks and bottled drinks are also available.

The Cookie
The Carrot Cake Cookie is a more than just a cookie. This cookie features two giant cookies sandwiched together with cream cheese frosting in the center.

The cookies are HUGE! They can easily be shared, but you might not want to. They are soft, moist, and have great carrot cake flavor. We're not really fans of extra stuff in our carrot cake, except for chocolate chips- think it's weird, give it a try - but I don't really mind the extras in these cookies. Extras being raisins. The cream cheese frosting is the best part of carrot cake and that is also the case with this cookie. The frosting is sweet yet has that tell-tale cream cheese tang that you expect.

This cookie can be bought with a dining plan snack credit, and we firmly believe that it is worth it.

If you like carrot cake, are in Hollywood Studios, and are looking for a sweet treat head over to the Writer's Stop and give this cookie a try.
