Although our time of the Disney Dream was short we still had an amazing time, and both kids had A LOT of fun! Just like the other three Disney Cruise Line ships, the Disney Dream has so much to offer from every age group. Today, though, we’re going to talk about what all the Disney Dream has for kids to do during your time onboard! At the end of January, we sailed on the Disney Dream for a 3-night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral. During our two full days on the ship we stopped at Nassau, and we scheduled to dock at Castaway Cay, but were unable to due to weather. Our family decided to not to get off the ship in Nassau, but only because we knew that we would be there again a week later on the Disney Wonder. So, we did not get off the ship at all from the time that we set sail from Port Canaveral until we got back there again – but we still had an amazing time! There is a lot of negativity in the world right now, and it’s our goal with this post to share not only our love for Disney Cruise Line, and some information about it, but to hopefully bring a little joy to your life through today’s post. On our last two trips we’ve stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort and we’ve really enjoyed it. Since our most recent trip to Disney World was so short – two nights with one day at Hollywood Studios – we decided to book a resort that we already knew we liked. We also decided to stay at Pop because of the new Disney Skyliner! We all rode the Skyliner during the trip and today we’re here to tell you all about our experience. We drove to Hollywood Studios so that we could guaranteed that we got to the park when we wanted to, but that also meant that someone had to drive back to the resort. Bella fell asleep shortly before we left the park, so Howard took her and the car back to the resort while Christian and I took the Skyliner. He left before park closing, so there wasn’t a line to get onto the gondola system, and we were at the transfer station at Caribbean Beach Resort in just a few minutes. It has been almost a month since we set sail on the Disney Dream. We all had such a great time and we really enjoyed our time on the ship, but we wish that it had been a longer cruise. The ship is amazing, but three nights was just too short! Our cruise on the Dream also made it so that three of the four of us completed the “grand slam!” Bella has one ship left before she has sailed on all four, but by the time she sails on the Magic in a couple of years the Disney Wish will be out and we’ll all have another ship! It has been a week since our 2020 Family Vacation came to an end and we’re all settled back into our normal routine and I’m finally getting a chance to sit down and tell you all about it!  Like all of our road trips we started driving well before the sun came up on the first day. I’m sure you’re asking, “Why do you start so early?” When we start driving early, around 3am, we are able to drive for about four hours before the kids wake up. By the time they wake up it’s time to stop for gas and to replenish the coffee supply, so it works out well!  The first day of our trip we made it to Beaumont, Texas. When we arrived it was chilly and raining, but we made the best of it and stopped by Tyrell Park where we had lunch at one of their pavilions and let the kids run around for a while. When this posts we’ll be in the middle of a trip, but we’re always planning, and we’re always got another trip coming up! Our next trip, though, won’t be our trip, but my trip! I’ve got a solo trip to Disney World coming up in a few months and planning for it is a lot different than planning for trips that we’ve taken in the past. We’ve taken trips where it has just been Howard and I before the kids were born. We’ve taken many trips with the kids. We’ve taken trips that involved extended family and friends. This, though, will be my first trip by myself, and I’m looking forward to it! So, how is planning a solo trip different than planning a family trip, or even a couple’s trip? Our next trip is just a few days away! We’re all really excited to start our road trip, and then to board the Disney Dream just a few days after that! We’ve all been waiting and planning for this trip for months and it’s finally about to be here! One thing that both kids are most looking forward to is playing in the water on both the Disney Dream and the Disney Wonder! So today we’re going to talk about all of the water play options available onboard the four Disney Cruise Line ships.  Each of the four ships has a variety of options for cooling off on a hot day! Keep in mind that you not get to swim laps in any of the pools, they are not very large, but they off a great place to cool off.  Also keep in mind that children that are not potty trained and are in swim diapers may not use the pools.
