ALWAYS Have a Back Up Plan

Those that know me, know that I plan, plan, plan. This is true for my own travels, and trips I book for my amazing clients,  but also in things as simple as what I need to get done in a day or week, and the path that I want to take during an outdoor run. The one important thing to remember in all of these situations, ALWAYS have a back up plan.

I can't tell you how many times I've been out for a run, and was unable to cross the street where I wanted because a car was coming. As I come up to each intersection, I have the main path that I would like to take in mind, but also a plan to turn and where to go after that if I have to.

Maybe a different every day life example for those of you that don't run. You've got a plan for an amazingly delicious dinner, but realize that you don't have as much of a certain ingredient as yoiu actually need. There's always a way to make your delicious, even if it wasn't the way that you originally planned.

Just as we all need to adapate in every day life, there are also times when we need to make adjustments to our travel plans.

We were just two weeks away from our next Disney cruise when one of the four of us had a positive covid test. With the way that the last two years have been, we knew that this was always a possibility. We didn't want to use our back up plan, but we had one, and it has been pugt into place. We already had plans to stay at Disney World, and do a few days at the parks, after the cruise. We also had a hotel booked for the night before the cruise as well. We decided to do an extended Disney World trip instead of just two park days since we already had a reason to be in Orlando, and we had the time off.

We moved our cruise to new dates, thst was the most important part of the back up plan. After that we needed to book somewhere to stay for the datys that we were originally suppodsed to be on the ship. As I said, we had a stay booked for after the cruise, but there was no availability to extend our stay there. Time for another back up plan. We found a hotel that had availability, and most importantly, was within our budget. Now we're all ready for our next trip.

The sailing, stateroom, hotel, room category, dates, restuarant you want might not be available when you want to book. Having a back up plan is a must. One of the best parts about booking with me? I'll keep watch for availability to open up for you! Right now I have a family that wants to stay at Pop Century, but it's not currently available for their dates. They have set dates that they can take their trip, and it is a popular time of year. In order to make sure that they have an amazing Disney World Resort Hotel secured, we booked a room at All-Star Movies, and I check multiple times a day to see if a room becomes available at Pop.

Our trip last month, where the kids had so much fun with Grandma, we were originally booked at a Dinsey World Good Neighbor Hotel in Disney Springs. Nothing was available in our desired price range on property when we booked, but we wanted the benefits of Early Entry. So we booked what worked for us. Every day I kept looking for availability at a Disney World Value Resort, and one day a room poppped up and I booked it right away.

It is always good to have a back up plan, and even a back up plan for your back up plan!
