What Have We Been Up To?!
We’re a week and a half into 2021, and normally at this point in the year we would be getting ready for a big family trip. In a world without covid, that would very much be the case. We had a cruise booked for February 2021, but switched to a different one for November of this year. Our fingers are crossed that it gets to happen, but all we can do at this point is wait and see.
So, with no plans for a little while, and no big
travel for most of the last year, what have we been up to?
Most of our time lately has been spent getting the
house ready to sell. It’s a daunting task, but we’re up to the challenge. Over
this past summer we started to replace ALL of the floors in the house, bit by
bit. We only have two rooms left to do, and we’re planning on getting those
done in the next week or two.
Outside of that, we’re just living our normal life.
Work (Howard going to work, and me working at home), homeschooling, reading,
writing, and enjoying each other’s company. I am thankful that I got to take my
solo trip back in October, and that we ended the year with our camping trip to
Palo Duro Canyon State Park.
What’s ahead? We’ll be leaving Texas in the spring,
but we don’t know where we’re going yet.
We’re also hoping that our cruise gets to happen in November, if not, we
have some plans for when we’ll reschedule for.
For now, I’m going to get back to enjoying the snow
that has been falling all day! (The snow is at the time of writing.)
