Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Eats

t’s hard to believe that it has already been a month since I was getting ready for my trip! I had such an amazing time, and I can’t wait to go back again at some point with the whole family. I also highly recommend taking a solo trip to Disney World if you have a chance to do so. I hope to do so again at point in the future, too!

During my trip I was able to enjoy some tasty treats from the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival! This year’s festival is running for the longest ever. It started back in July when the parks first reopened, and it is still going on right now! It will end just before the Epcot Festival of the Holidays starts on November 27, 2020.

Part of planning for my trip was reading over all of the Food and Wine Festival menus and decided what options I couldn’t pass up during my day at Epcot. I decided on five options, and I enjoyed all five. I’m here today to tell you about each of those items and which on I enjoyed most.

If you’ve never been to a festival at Epcot you might before wondering how they work. Outdoor kitchens are set up throughout the park, and each one has its own unique menu items that reflect each booth’s “personality.” At the Food and Wine Festival most of the booths feature eats from a specific country, but there are some that are unique to one country’s cuisine – like the Waffle booth.

This year there are over 20 booths offering sweets, savory eats, and beverages. I enjoyed a snack from five different booths!

S’mores Whoopie Pie – Available at Flavors from Fire the S’mores Whoopie Pie was a delicious sweet sandwich of smoked chocolate cake filled with toasted marshmallow, chocolate ganahce, and graham cracker. It was topped with graham cracker crumbs and candied bacon. It tasted likes a s’more met a cake, and it was delicious.

Kielbasa and Potato Pierogi – I love pierogi, LOVE it. So, when I saw this on the menu at Festival Favorites I knew I had to get it. Slices of kielbasa are served with a buttery potato-filled pasta pocket and caramelized onions, and topped with sour cream and chives. The sausage and pierogi went really well together, and the sour cream and chives were nice accompaniments. I love to have onions with my pierogi, but these onions were a bit too caramelized, so they had started to go from sweet to bitter.

Liquid Nitro Chocolate Cake Pops with Crushed M&M’s – Right next to Festival Favorites is the Desserts & Champagne booth. This booth is where they have three different cake pop offerings. You can get a plain chocolate one, one with crushed Twix, or one with crushed M&Ms. I went for the one with M&Ms. When a cake pop is ordered it is topped with chocolate ganache, the topping of your choice, and then frozen with liquid nitrogen – all in front of your eyes! When you get your cake pop it is still smoking from the cold! The dish was so good! If you like rich chocolate desserts, then this is the dish for you! Chocolate cake, chocolate icing, chocolate ganache, and M& M candies – yum! The bottom of the cake pop was soft, while the topped part was cold and had a crunch from the candy. I highly recommend this dish.

Tarte Tropezienne, Coulis Framboise – Available at the France booth, this tart is amazing. Fluffy, buttery brioche cake filled with a light vanilla pastry cream served with a sweet raspberry coulis. The tarte was light, and refreshing. It was good without the coulis, and it was even better with it. I could have easily eaten five of these tarts.

Pão de Queijo: Brazilian Cheese Bread – Fluffy, cheesy. That’s all there is to it. It was quite satisfying.

All five items that I tried were quite good, and I recommend each of them. If I had to list them from least favorite to the absolute best it would be:

5. Kielbasa and Potato Pierogi

4. S’mores Whoopie Pie

3. Pão de Queijo: Brazilian Cheese Bread

2. Tarte Tropezienne, Coulis Framboise

1. Liquid Nitro Chocolate Cake Pops with Crushed M&M’s
