The Magic Aboard the Disney Wonder (Disney Cruise Line)

We just got back from our Alaskan cruise a few days ago and there is so much magical information to share with you all! We decided to start out with an article that lets you know about all of the Disney Magic, well maybe not all of it, that we experienced aboard the Disney Wonder.

Disney is known for its Magic, and if you have ever been on Disney property you know that there are little touches everywhere. If you just look carefully you will see the little details that Disney Imagineers work so hard to put into place that make your vacation so much more magical.

Before you even board the ship you know that it is unmistakably Disney. Fab Five characters’ silhouettes and Steamboat Willie adorn the bow and Donald and his nephews can be found on the stern.

Once on board hidden Mickeys can be found before you even leave the lobby.

As you make your way up or downstairs, be sure to look at the art….

This also applies for the hallways on decks 4 and 5.

The midship elevators also give a view to a beloved Disney character mural.

The Oceaneer Club is all about Peter Pan and Pirates….

And just the name Flounder’s Reef Nursery screams Disney.

Once you make your way up to deck 9, the pool deck, you will be bombarded by Disney touches. The quick service restaurants are all named after Disney characters. The Mickey pool is, well, shaped like Mickey. And the Mickey slide is held up by a giant Mickey hand. Lastly, you can enjoy Disney movies on the giant screen by the Goofy Pool.

Even in the hallways and stairwells you will never have to leave the Magic – Disney music is almost always playing.

Lastly, characters can be found EVERYWHERE! Getting to meet your favorite character is not just something you can do in the Disney parks – many characters can be seen and even danced with in some cases aboard the ship.

Restaurants
There are three main dining locations, all of which are themed beautifully, and have amazing Disney touches.

Animator’s Palate is all about the process of bringing characters to life.

Parrot Cay’s touch is a bit more subtle… but if you look at the light fixtures on the walls you’ll find it.

Lastly, Triton’s is all about the Little Mermaid. The main entrance to the dining room showcases a statue of Triton’s daughter, Ariel. And once inside it is hard to miss the large mural on the back wall.

Also, if your child asks for ketchup your server will present them with this…

Your Stateroom
When you enter your stateroom you will be greeted by subtle touches. Mickey is almost everywhere in your room.

Also, each night when you return to your room after turn down you will find adorable little chocolates with a lovable Disney character on the outside.

Disney goes the extra mile to make your vacation Magical. We can’t wait to share more about our amazing experience aboard the Disney Wonder!
