Wild Africa Trek - Animal Kingdom Behind the Scenes Tour

There are so many amazing things to see and do at Disney World - rides, shows, characters, food. There are also many great tours that allow you to journey behind the seeds, I mean scenes, and learn things that you wouldn't be able to learn about or see otherwise. One such tour is the Wild Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom. This three hour tour is offered a few times a day and takes you behind the scenes and over the top. * The experiences on each tour are different due to the fact that live animals are involved. This post will detail what we experienced on our tour.* ** Participants must be at least 8 years old and ambulatory to take part in this tour.** The tour starts in a "secret" area next to the entrance of Kilimanjaro Safaris. Here you will meet with your tour guides and the rest of our tour group. This is also where you will don your vest, harness, and headsets. You will also receive a name tag and when we took the tour each person received a per

Disney Wonder - Inside Stateroom

There are a lot of reviews out there that tell you about the deluxe outside staterooms and staterooms with verandahs – but those are not the only staterooms available. On our cruise we had a standard inside stateroom and we really enjoyed it. Since our room was inside, not only was it cheaper, but there was also no unwanted light coming in through windows. The Wonder travels to and from Alaska all summer, and as you probably know, Alaska sees a lot of sun during the summer time. So, what can you expect to find in your inside stateroom? Believe it or not, it is actually pretty spacious. Christian is 14 months old now and LOVES to run around – there was plenty of room for him to burn off energy in our room. Our room was on the port side of the ship, so it went long ways from aft to forward (back t

Disney Wonder - Overview

Disney Cruise Line has four ships, the Magic, the Wonder, the Dream, and the Fantasy. The Dream and Fantasy are the two newest and two biggest ships, and they mainly sail in the Bahamas and Caribbean. The Magic and the Wonder may be smaller and older than the other two ships, but they do the bulk of the work and travel all over the world. The Disney Wonder was our home for seven nights as we sailed through the majestic Inner Passage of Alaska. While the Wonder may be the second oldest ship in the Disney fleet, it is a beautiful ship with lots (11 decks) to explore. Today we're going to give you an overview of all that the ship has to offer by deck. Deck 1 * This deck is mostly staterooms. * But it is also where you can find the medical center if need be... Hopefully you won't need it. Deck 2 * Again, mostly staterooms. * This deck is also where you can find Edge – the kid’s club for 11-14. * There is also a laundry room on this deck. Dec
