Disneyland Diamond Celebration Overview

The Disneyland Diamond Celebration makes an already magical experience even more, well – Magical. Both Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure are decked out in Diamonds and feature special treats and merchandise for the 60th Anniversary.

Even before you make it into the parking lots you are greeted by street banners and towering spirals boasting the celebration. If you park in either the Mickey and Friends parking structure or the Pinocchio parking lot and are going to take the tram to the park entrances you will be able to see Mickey and Minnie’s billboard – here they invite you to their dazzling party.

Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland and the Carthay Circle Theater in Disney’s California Adventure are draped in finery for the occasion and a large 60th Celebration sign sits in front of the Disneyland Railroad Main Street Station.

Special treats are available at various locations throughout the parks to include cupcakes at the Fifer, Fiddler, and Practical Café in California Adventure and Jolly Holiday Bakery in Disneyland Park. A Diamond Celebration souvenir sipper and glow cube are also available in most places where beverages are sold.

Diamond Celebration merchandise is available in many of the gift shops and merchandise cards in both parks and in Downtown Disney.

Lastly, for the Celebration three new nighttime spectaculars have been added. A new World of Color – Celebrate – featuring Mickey and Neal Patrick Harris is shown nightly at California Adventure. At Disneyland there is a new electrical parade – Paint the Night where Disney and Pixar characters sparkle along the parade route. There is also a new fireworks show entitled Disneyland Forever. We were sadly not able to see this whole show, the night that we had planned to stay for the show it was canceled due to rain.

Stay tuned for a more in depth look into the merchandise, treats, and nighttime spectaculars.
