Disney Cruise Line - Would You Rather

The world is continuing to change with each passing week. Changes are being discussed for the future of cruising, but at the same time no one really knows for sure what is going to happen in the future. On the happy side of things, though, Walt Disney World is officially back open! Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom opened yesterday (July 11) and Epcot and Hollywood Studios will be opening back up on Wednesday July 15! We’re excited to see that things are starting to move forwards and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

This week, though, we’re here to talk about our favorite thing – Disney Cruise Line. Today we have answers from Howard, Christian, and Miriya on which of two options they would rather do!

Disney Cruise Line – Would You Rather…

Sail on a Classic ship or a Dream Class ship?
C – Dream class.
H – Classic ships.
M – I love all four ships, but I prefer the smaller feel of the classic ships.

Take back to back 3-night cruises or one 7-night?
C – Back to back
H – 7 night
M – Definitely a 7-night, the more nights on the ship the better.

Sail to ports of call that you have been to before or new ones?
C – Both
H – I’d rather go to new ones, but it depends.
M – I like familiar ports, but I also like visiting new places.

Drive or fly to the departure city?
C – Drive
H – Drive.
M – Drive. That way we can take more on the trip, but less onto the ship!

On the Dream and Fantasy, get ice cream from Eye Scream or Sweet on You / Vanellope’s?
C – Sweet on You or Vanellope’s
H – Eye Scream
M – I love all ice cream, so I’ll take what I can get. I love to get a sundae from Vanellope’s or Sweet on You once a cruise when we’re on the bigger ships. I also love to be able to stop by the ice cream machines at Eye Scream for a cone!

Get breakfast from Cabanas or at a sit-down location?
C – Sit down
H – Cabanas
M – I like them both. I prefer Cabanas, or even Daisy’s on the smaller ships, because they’re quick. But I do really enjoy a nice sit-down breakfast every once in a while, too.

Get lunch from Cabanas or a quick-service location?
C – Quick Service
H – Cabanas
M – Both on the same day.

Swim during the day or at night?
C – At night.
H – Night
M – Night. There are a lot less people at the pool at night. Although, going during the day is good, too, because that’s the only time that the splash area is open.

Go to the Oceaneer Club or Lab?
C – Club
H – During open house I like to play the ship simulator in the Lab.
M – I like to visit the Club during open house!

Have an inside stateroom, an oceanview stateroom, or a verandah?
C – Verandah
H – Oceanview, I like to be able to see the ocean and ports from our room without the cost of the verandah.
M – I love all three room categories! We don’t spend much time in the room outside of sleeping and getting ready, so an inside is totally fine. I do really like having a porthole, though, so that we can watch the sea without leaving our room, and without the cost of a verandah. I have really enjoyed the two cruises that we’ve had a verandah stateroom for, though! Our extended verandah on the Dream was great for sitting and watching the sea, hanging out, and even working out! It really all depends on the cost difference between the room categories.

Dine at Palo for brunch or dinner?
H – Dinner, but brunch is still good. Too much food at brunch.
M – Dinner. We’ve done brunch once, and the food and service were amazing, but I felt so full when we left. Dinner also has the Butternut Agnolotti and the Chocolate Soufflé!

Book port adventures or do your own thing in port?
C – Our own thing.
H – Our own thing.
M – Our own thing, for most ports of call.

Watch a movie by the pool or in the movie theaters?
C – In the movie theater
H – By the pool
M – I love watching movies by the pool when it’s not too crowded with some ice cream or some pizza. I also like the ability to see movies that I might have to wait until they come out on DVD to see at home. On of my favorite things, though, is to pick Christian up from the Oceaneer Club before bed and stop in the movie theater, if something he likes is playing, or by the pool for a few minutes of a movie and a snack before heading back to the room.

Get ice cream, pizza, or fries as an after-dinner snack?
C – Ice cream
H – All of the above, it’s vacation after all.
M – All of the above! I like to dip my fries in my ice cream.

Put your luggage out on the last night or carry all luggage off when disembarking?
C – Put it out on the last night.
H – Carry it all off.
M – We used to put our bags out on the last night of the cruise, but on our last two sailings we decided to carry everything off in the morning. It made things so much faster, and I like this method better now!

What would you rather do?!
