Where to Get Ice Cream at Disney World

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Who doesn’t love ice cream?! The Disney World Resort has so many places to stop and get a sweet, frozen treat. Today we have for you a list, with brief descriptions, of all of the locations around Disney World to get your hands on some delicious ice cream.

Magic Kingdoms
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor – Step back in time to the simple times that Main Street U.S.A. represents and enjoy a sweet treat with a beautiful view! The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor offers cups and cones of a variety of flavors of ice cream and sorbet, as well as sundaes, and ice cream sandwiches! You can’t go wrong with any of the options here, but our favorites are the All-American Sundae (chocolate and peanut butter – yum!) and a Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich!

Plaza Restaurant – Enjoy a delicious sit down meal at the Plaza Restaurant and finish it off with a mouthwatering dessert from the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor next door! We think that the perfect end to any meal here is the Brownie Sundae!

Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies – Take a break from the busy land of tomorrow for a cool treat from Auntie Gravity’s! Soft serve, ice cream floats, sundaes, smoothies and milkshakes are on the menu here. Our favorites here include a Fanta Float and a Vanilla Soft Serve Cone.

Sleepy Hollow – You’ve probably passed this location while in Liberty Square without even knowing it. Stop by on your next visit for a Churro Ice Cream Sandwich with a gorgeous view of the castle!

Aloha Isle – Aloha Isle is all about pineapple and if you’re a pineapple lover like us you’ll be happy you stopped by for a Dole Whip! The pineapple soft serve is available by itself, as part of a Dole Whip Float with pineapple juice, or onto of a Pineapple Upside Down Cake!

Storybook Treats – Tucked away in Fantasyland you’ll find Storybook Treats where you can cool off with soft-serve, a Hot Fudge Sundae, a Peter Pan Float (Lime Soft-serve, Sprite, and a Chocolate Feather), a Strawberry Sundae, a Cookie Sundae, or a Float with your choice of soft drink.

Sunshine Tree Terrace – On your way through Adventureland stop by for soft-serve, an Ice Cream Float, an Orange Cream or Orange Cream Float, or a Citrus Swirl or Citrus Swirl Float.

Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Scoops – Enjoy Hand-scooped Ice Cream in a cup or cone, a Brownie Sundae, Apple Crisp a la Mode, or an Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich!

50’s Prime Time Café – Finish off your meal at 50’s Prime Time Café with a frosty ice cream treat – a milkshake in vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, or our favorite – Peanut Butter and Jelly!

Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction – Cool off with an ice cream bar, Mickey ice cream sandwich, or ice cream in a cup or cone at Dinosaur Gerties.

Animal Kingdom
Anandapur Ice Cream Truck – Cool off during your trek through Asia with an Ice Cream Float or Vanilla, Chocolate or Twist Soft-serve in a Waffle Cone!

Tamu Tamu Refreshments – Enjoy a Double Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Sandwich, Mickey Sundae, Malva Cake Sundae or Dole Whip while in Africa. Those 21 and older can enjoy a Dole Whip with Rum as well.

Dino-Bite Snacks – Take a break from looking for dinosaurs to enjoy hand-scooped Ice Cream in a Waffle Cone, a Hot Fudge Sundae, an Ice Cream Float or an Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich!

Epcot
L’Artisan des Glaces – Ice cream and sorbet in a cup or cone, macaron ice cream sandwiches, pressed brioche ice cream sandwiches, iced cappuccinos with ice cream, and ice cream martinis await you in the picture perfect setting of the France Pavilion. The Caramel Fleur de Sel is our favorite!

Gelati – Enjoy Italy’s version of ice cream at Gelati in the Italy Pavilion. The menu here features gelato in a cup of cone, gelato ice cream sandwiches, gelato sundaes, “Affagato,” and other Italian treats and beverages.

Via Napoli – No meal at Via Napoli is complete without dessert. And as a pizzeria and restaurant in the Italy Pavilion it offers amazing Italian desserts including gelato, Italian ice cream sodas, and a gelato sundae. The gelato sundae, Coppa di Bruitti Ma Bouni “Ugly But Good” is our favorite.

Water Parks
Happy Landings Ice Cream – Top off your day at Typhoon Lagoon with an ice cream bar, soft-serve sundae, soft-serve in a cone, or a Sand Pail (“Chocolate and Vanilla Soft-serve Ice Cream, Waffle Cone Pieces, Oreo Cookie Pieces, Sprinkles, Hot Fudge, Caramel Sauce, Whipped Cream and a Cherry. Layered into a Sand Pail to be scooped out with a Shovel”)!

Outside the Parks
Beaches and Cream - End a delicious meal with an ice cream treat at Beaches and Cream! The dessert menu here includes milkshakes, ice cream sodas, Hand-Dipped Ice Cream in a cup or cone, floats, and a variety of sundaes including the Kitchen Sink that serves four and has 8 scoops of ice cream and too many toppings to list! The Kitchen Sink is on our Disney bucket list!

Pineapple Lanai – You don’t have to be inside the parks to enjoy a Dole Whip! Pineapple, vanilla, or a swirl of both, as well as a Dole Whip Float are available at Pineapple Lanai at the Polynesian Village Resort.

Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop – This chocolate lovers paradise also offers ice cream treats including milkshakes, floats,  scoops served in a cup or cone, and a variety of sundaes!
