The Best Thing I Ever Ate - Walt Disney World Edition

We’re sure you’ve all see that show on Food Network and Cooking Channel where a bunch of celebrity chefs are talking about the best things that they’ve eaten. Well today we have for you our version of this! Read on to find out the Best Thing We’ve Ever Eaten at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Christian, Howard, and Miriya each picked our favorite item, or in some cases restaurant, for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and snack.

Breakfast
Christian: Cupcake! Any cupcake. Disney World is the one place where cupcakes are an okay breakfast!

Howard: Be Our Guest. The choices at Be Our Guest are all great – our favorites, though, are the Feast A La Gaston (eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage and fruit) and the Open-Faced Bacon and Egg Sandwich (eggs, bacon, cheese, and arugula on a croissant served with fruit. The best part, though, is the pastries that come with it!

Miriya: Mickey Waffles with Chocolate-Hazelnut Drizzle! Everyone loves Mickey waffles, after all, food tastes better when it’s shaped like the Main Mouse! Combine Mickey Waffles, crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, served with warm, sweet and nutty chocolate hazelnut spread. This deliciousness can be found at the Garden Grill Restaurant at Epcot.

Lunch
Christian: Dark Side Chicken and Waffles! Christian loves all things Star Wars, and waffles! This delicious meal combines the two! Fluffy waffles featuring Darth Vader served with crispy chicken at Hollywood Studios’ Backlot Express.

Howard: Tusker House. This Animal Kingdom buffet offers delicious American and African-inspired eats. You can’t go wrong with anything on the buffet here and that’s why it made our list.

Miriya: Nachos! I love Nachos. Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café offers chicken or beef nachos – chips served with queso and the meat of your choice. The best part, though, is that you can customize your nachos with salsas, sour cream, lettuce, cheese and more at the toppings bar.

Dinner
Christian: Diamond Horseshoe at Magic Kingdom. On our last trip we ate here and Christian, and everyone else, really enjoyed the Al-You-Care-To-Enjoy dinner here. The current menu includes “Mixed Greens Salad, Creamy Potato Salad, Fresh Watermelon Salad, Carved Beef Brisket, Grilled Chicken, Corn on the Cob, Barbecue Pulled Pork, Macaroni and Cheese, Barbecue Baked Beans, Creamy Coleslaw, and Dessert Trio with Buttermilk-Chocolate Cake, Peaches and Cream Cheesecake, and Seasonal Berry Cobbler.”

Howard: Teppan Edo at Epcot. A meal here offers delicious eats and a show! Meals here include your choice of meat(s) as well as salad, white rice, noodles, and vegetables. So much food, and all of it is delicious, and prepared before your eyes!

Miriya: Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom. We’re big fans of Thanksgiving, and dinner here makes you feel like it’s Thanksgiving every night of the year! The meal is served family-style and includes salad, bread, oven-roasted pork, pot roast, turkey breast, herb stuffing, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, seasonal veggies, and Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake served with vanilla ice cream.

Dessert
Christian: Ice Cream Sundae! Christian LOVES ice cream, and there are a lot of places around the Walt Disney World Resort to get your hands on some. Christian’s favorite dessert is a kid’s ice cream sundae.

Howard: Bread and Butter Pudding from Raglan Road! Raglan Road is one of our favorite places to eat – a great atmosphere and delicious Irish eats. We love bread pudding, and this one is amazing. It’s buttery, and served with vanilla and caramel sauce.

Miriya: Ugly But Good from Via Napoli! I know what you’re thinking, why would you eat something with ugly in the name? Well, the Coppa di Brutti Ma Buoni is a delicious combination of rich and creamy vanilla gelato with amarena cherries. It may not be pretty, but it sure is delicious.

Snack
Christian: Dole Whip! Christian doesn’t like pineapple, but he loves a fruity, creamy, refreshing Dole Whip from Aloha Isle at Magic Kingdom!

Howard: Carrot Cake Cookie! The whole family loves carrot cake and this cookie is a one of the best. Two moist carrot cake cookies with rich cream cheese frosting sandwiched in between. If you like carrot cake make your way to The Trolley Car Café at Hollywood Studios.

Miriya: Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich! Imagine two chocolate chip cookies sandwiched around creamy vanilla ice cream – yum! Now imagine that the whole thing is as big as a baby’s head. That’s why this is a favorite snack! You’ll find them at The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, Dino-Bite Snacks, and Hollywood Scoops.
