The Best Epcot Experiences for Toddlers and Preschoolers

It has been a while, so you might not remember, but we talked about the best experiences for toddlers and preschoolers at Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. Today we have for you the best experiences for this age group at Epcot.

I know quite a few people that think that Epcot doesn’t have much to offer for littles ones and because of these they skip this park. Each park has things that I love, but Epcot is my favorite because there is so much to experience in one place. At Epcot you can see art, learn about, and eat food from eleven different counties. You can travel around the world in a day! World Showcase is my favorite place to snack at Disney World. Epcot as a whole does, in fact, have a lot to offer for Disney goers of all ages. This park is especially great for those that like to learn, but not realize they’re learning because they’re having fun, eat, and meet characters.

So, what exactly does Epcot have to offer for toddlers and preschoolers? Let’s find out…

Characters – There are characters throughout the park, just like at the other parks, but the characters at Epcot are kind of unique – at least in World Showcase. Not so much unique in that you can’t meet them elsewhere, but unique in that you can meet characters in the country that they originate from! These include Belle in France, Jasmine in Morocco, Anna and Elsa in Norway, and Mulan in China. You can also meet Baymax at Hiro’s Workshop, Joy and Sadness at Headquarters and more!

Spaceship Earth – We love this attraction! Take a ride through the history of civilization! Kids will love the ride and the touch screen.

Journey Into Imagination with Figment – This is my favorite Epcot attraction! It’s fun, funny and upbeat. It has a catchy song, a fun purple dragon, and it teaches you about using your imagination. Little ones will love the ride, but they’ll also love the interactive Image Works found at the end of the ride as well. Design your own figment on the computers, match color patterns, conduct music and more!

Living with the Land – This attraction is a learning experience that’s fun! Board your boat and travel through different climates before entering the greenhouses where you’ll get to see different plants that are grown and used at the restaurants in Epcot.

The Garden Grill – Christian loves the restaurant and has requested it for our next trip. The food is great and kid friendly, but the reason he wants to eat here is that Chip, Dale, Mickey and Pluto meet with guests as they dine here. The restaurant is also unique in that it slowly spins around as you dine! It looks over and into part of the Living with the Land attraction, too! By the end of your meal you will have gone all the way around the circle one. (Unless you eat really fast or really slow – then it could be more or less.)

Soarin’ Around the World – Your kids will love to take flight on this hang gliding attraction that showcases the wonders of the world. Keep in mind that this attraction has a height requirement of 40in. which makes it perfect for four and five year olds.

The Seas with Nemo – Board a shell and travel under the sea with Nemo and is friends! Who doesn’t love Nemo?

Turtle Talk with Crush – This attraction is fun for all ages! Enter “the human tank” and learn about life under the sea while Crush learns about life on land. What really makes this great is that Crush interacts with the audience.

SeaBase – After disembarking from your shell or before or after talking with Crush take some time to look at all of the fish, the manatees, turtles, dolphins and more that call SeaBase home. Kids will love the sea life, and they’ll also love Bruce’s Shark World where they can learn about sharks, push lots of buttons, and get their picture taken in Bruce’s mouth.

Kidcot Stations –Throughout World Showcase kids can color, learn about each county’s culture and have someone from that country write something in their native language for them.

Ice Cream in France – Kids love ice cream. Actually, everyone loves ice cream, right?! L’Artisan des Glaces offers delicious and creamy ice cream in a variety of flavors in the France Pavilion. Whether you order a cup, cone, brioche ice cream sandwich, or macaroon you won’t be disappointed and neither will your little one.

Frozen Ever After – Take a boat ride through Arendelle to see your favorite Frozen characters like Anna, Elsa, Sven, Olaf, and Kristoff.

Gran Fiesta Tour – If your little one is like ours and like Donald Duck then this attraction is for them! Learn about Mexico and help Jose Carioca and Panchito find their friend Donald.

Splash Pad – It can get really hot at Disney World and the perfect way to cool off at Epcot is at the Splash Pad on the bridge between Future World and World Showcase. What kid doesn’t love splashing in the water?!

Test Track – Christian is beyond excited that he will be tall enough to ride this attraction on our next trip. Learn about cars and get to be part of “test” of the car that you design before the ride. This attraction has a height requirement of 40in. which means that four and five year olds will be able to ride.

Mission Space Playground
– Located between the ride and the gift shop exit is the Advanced Training Lab which houses a space game as well as a playground. This is the perfect place for your little ones to burn off some energy. It is especially great for those kids, like ours, that like to climb. It’s also the perfect place for kids and non-riders to wait while mom or dad travel to Mars on the attraction.

Mission: Space – Kids that are 40 in. and taller and like space will love this attraction. Each rider is assigned a role on the space shuttle – and each person has buttons to push on the ride. Enter the simulator for your trip to Mars. There are two versions of the ride – a high intensity that spins, and a low intensity that is great for those that want to experience the attraction, but can’t deal with spinning.

Disney Phineas and Ferb: Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure – This interactive game allows you to pick a world showcase country to help Agent P in. Pick a country, learn a little bit about it, and help Agent P stop Dr. Doofenshmirtz.

Club Cool – For those little ones that are allowed to indulge and have a little bit of pop and like to try new things Club Cool is a lot of fun. Sample different types of pop from around the world!

As you can see, Epcot has a lot to offer for toddlers and preschoolers, but also the whole family!
