Disney's Hollywood Studios with Toddlers and Preschoolers

Disney World is the perfect vacation for those with kids of all ages – and even those that don’t have kids, but re kids at heart. Each age group will love some experiences more than others, but no matter what you, and your kids, will love your trip. Our family is currently right in the middle of the toddler and preschooler phase. And that means that we know all about experiencing the magic of Disney with an adventurous toddler. (We’ll also be experiencing the parks with a baby again on our next trip, too.) Toddlers and preschoolers truly believe in the magic, and it’s so much fun to see everything from their point of view. So far we’ve covered Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Epcot, and today we have for you the best toddler and preschooler experiences at Hollywood Studios.

Characters – Just like the other three parks Hollywood Studios has no shortage of unique characters. You’re little ones can meet Disney Junior favorites like Jake and Sofia, Chewbacca, Kylo Ren and BB-8 from Star Wars, Olaf from Frozen, Star-Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy, Woody, Buzz and Jessie from Toy Story, and Mickey and Minnie.

Disney Junior Live on Stage – From now until the beginning of September your little ones can learn, dance and sing along with their Disney Junior favorites. After September, sometime this Fall the Disney Junior Dance Party will take its place! The Disney World website states, “Show off your moves, catch bubbles and laugh yourself silly at a fun-filled party featuring favorite Disney Junior Characters and music. Get in the groove on the dance floor as DJ Deejay gets the celebration started—playing songs you know from the shows you love. Host Finn Fiesta welcomes Disney Junior pals to this star-studded event, and you get to say hello by “spinning” them in: ready, set, twirl!
Now, join Doc McStuffins and cure your dance fever during a fun-filled, feel-good musical number. Fill the room with “Zuka Zama Zum Zum” alongside Timon from The Lion Guard. And get down and boo-gie with everyone’s favorite vampire girl, Vampirina. While you shake it up, special guest Mickey Mouse from Mickey and the Roadster Racers is driving in from Hot Dog Hills to join the excitement. The suspense builds as you await his arrival. Can he make it in time to be part of the festivities? Come find out… at a party packed with interactive fun and surprises for kids of all ages!”

Star Tours – If your little ones, that meet the height requirement of 40in, love Star Wars and don’t mind 3D journeys that move they’ll love this journey through the Star Wars universe. Each time you ride will be a different story line!

Indiana Jones – Chases, explosions, stunts and more await the whole Family at the Indian Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.

Hollywood & Vine – Enjoy a delicious buffet meal for breakfast, lunch or dinner at this eatery themed like a Hollywood cafeteria. Breakfast features Disney Junior characters like Doc McStuffins, Handy Manny, Sofia the First and Jake. Lunch and dinner feature Minnie and friends.

Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple – Little ones ages 4-12 can learn the ways of the Force at Jedi Training.

March of the First Order – If your little ones like Star Wars they’ll love watching Captain Phasma and the Stormtroopers march down Hollywood Boulevard.

Galaxy Far, Far Away – The Star Wars love continues during the Galaxy Far, Far Away show which showcases favorites from around the Star Wars universe. Disney states, “Join the celebration and share your love of the Star Wars saga—now conveniently located in your galaxy at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Be on the lookout for scenes featuring old favorites like Darth Vader. Plus, enjoy scenes from recently released Star Wars movies—including some new moments from Solo: A Star Wars Story.”

Sci – Fi Dine In Theater – Step on to the sound stage that celebrates the Drive In movie theater and enjoy delicious American eats. Kids will love the tables inside the cars.

For the First Time in Forever Frozen Sing Along – If your little ones like Frozen they’ll love this retelling of the story by the royal storytellers. The show is full of songs and jokes. It’s fun for everyone.

Toy Story Land – The long anticipated Toy Story and opened at the end of June and it is a Toy Story lover’s dream come true. The land makes it feel like you’ve become a toy! It’s all about Toy Story, the characters, the décor – it is amazing. The land includes three rides – Toy Story Mania (no height requirement), Alien Swirling Saucers (32in requirement), and Slinky Dog Dash (38in requirement.) There is also Woody’s Lunch Box, a quick service restaurant that offers delicious eats including Lunch Box Tarts, Grilled Cheese, and “Totchos”. The land as a whole is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers.

Muppet*Vision 3D – Put on your 3D glasses and laugh along with the Muppets at Muppet Vision 3D.

Voyage of the Little Mermaid – Enjoy the iconic scenes and songs from this Disney classic performed live.

Star Wars Launch Bay – Meet characters, browse Stars Wars props and models and just be immersed in the world of Star Wars.

Star Wars Fireworks – End your day with an epic showcase and celebration of Star Wars that includes projections, music, fire, and fireworks.

Fantasmic – Celebrate the power of imagination with Mickey at this nighttime spectacular including fireworks, princesses, and villains.
