Triton's Aboard the Disney Wonder (Fall 2016)

As you board the ship on the first day of your cruise you will walk into the main lobby and Triton’s will be just to your left. Triton’s is one of the three main dining restaurants and has a more upscale atmosphere than Tiana’s or Animator’s Palate. The back wall of the restaurant features a mural of the Little Mermaid! After all, the restaurant is named after King Triton. There renovation of the ship also brought lamps featuring Sebastian the crab from Parrot Cay into Triton’s. On the night of the cruise that Triton’s serves its regular menu, and not a themed on, the cuisine is French inspired. We dined here on the first night of our seven night sailing which meant that we ate here three times for dinner! Every night the menu was different and did not disappoint. On the first night we each enjoyed an appetizer and entrée. Christian was a little restless so he and Howard left early so that he could burn off some energy before the tree lighting which meant that we only samp

Animator's Palate Dining Review (Disney Wonder Fall 2016)

Between our first and second sailings on the Disney Wonder a lot of changes were made throughout the ship. Animator’s Palate, a main dining restaurant was among the locations on the ship that received changes or upgrades. For those that have not been to Animator’s Palate, it is a main dining location aboard all four Disney Cruise Line ships. The restaurant focuses on the art of animation – the table numbers are on containers of paintbrushes (not real ones, though), the pillars throughout the room are giant paintbrushes and giant palates can be found on the ceiling. The walls are full of drawings of different Disney characters throughout various stages of the drawing process. The first thing you’ll notice when you walk into the room, though, are the large screens on the walls. Throughout your meal characters and scenes will comes to life on these screens – starting out as simple line drawings and ending as colorful, fully animated and moving characters. Guests can get invol

Adult-Only Brunch at Palo on the Disney Wonder

Happy Sunday everyone! We hope that you’ve eaten recently, if not this post may just make you hungry. On our last cruise we got to have some adult time and enjoy an amazing meal all at the same time. Palo is an adult only dining location available on all four Disney ships. Dinner is offered nightly and brunch is available on sea days on 4-night or longer itineraries. Guests must make a reservation to dine at Palo and the meal does cost extra (but it is so worth it) – brunch and dinner each cost $30 per person. Brunch is a buffet, but you can also order from the kitchen. This meal is not to be entered into lightly! Our brunch reservation was for 12:30pm so that morning we enjoyed a light breakfast so that we would have room to really enjoy Palo. We got changed, there is a dress code, dropped Christian off at the nursery and headed upstairs to deck 10. On the Wonder Palo is located on deck 10 Aft and has amazing views! We arrived shortly before our reservation time a
