Movies to Watch Before Your Next Walt Disney World Vacation

Hello everyone! It has been two weeks since we disembarked from the new Disney Wonder. Our cruise was AMAZING! We figured that since we just finished talking about our cruise on the Magic before we left, that we could wait a little while to tell you all about our most recent cruise. So, that means we’ll be talking about Disney World and Disneyland for at least a few weeks. We’ll have lots of new Disney World information to talk about soon as well! We have 20 days from today until we’re back at Disney World for an 11 day Magical trip! Now onto the blog post…

A trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is all about entering into a different world. Animal Kingdom is a world of nature and animal. At Hollywood Studios you enter into the movies. At Epcot you can experience the past, present and future! As you cross into Magic Kingdom you enter into a world of fantasy! Everyone can enjoy Disney World, but to truly embrace the experience – to be sucked into a new world as you enter a new land and board a new ride vehicle is to understand that world. This is especially true when it comes to meeting characters! To be able to interact with characters you need to know about their world! How do you get to know about these worlds? To embrace these characters? You watch their movies of course!

So, without further ado, here are the movies that will help to make your Walt Disney World experience even better!

A majority of the rides and attractions in the parks that have a connection with a movie are connected because the ride, or attraction, is based on a movie. These attractions fall into that category.

There are also a few rides and attractions that came before their movies – these attractions were so loved and so inspiring that the movies we know and love with the same names came to be. These are those attractions.

Movies Based on Rides

·         Country Bear Jamboree
·         Haunted Mansion
·         Pirates of the Caribbean

Remember how I mentioned character interaction earlier? These experiences are available all over the Walt Disney World Resort, in the parks and at some resorts. To get the most out of these experiences you’ll obviously want to know who the character is, but know about them and their world is also a great way to, well get the most out of the experience. Asking about the characters friend or love interest, or even their enemy can make for great interactions and photo opportunities! The characters that don’t come from the movies in the other categories come from these movies and shows.
