Cabanas (Disney Magic)

When our family cruises one of our favorite things to do is eat! Disney Cruise Line certainly does not disappoint in the culinary department, on any part of their ship. Our favorite place to eat breakfast while cruising is at the buffet. Cabanas, the buffet on the Magic, is located on deck 9 all the way at the back of the ship.

There are two sides to the buffet, each with its own entrance. There are times that only one side will be open. Pick a side, they both serve the same thing.

The artwork on the walls just after you enter and before you reach the buffet features characters and the fish tank from Finding Nemo!

There is both indoor and outdoor seating – we prefer to sit outside so that we can look off the back of the ship. You can also take your plate back to your stateroom if you wish, we did this one morning when Christian wanted to sleep in.

The Food

Since our cruise was so short, only three nights, we only got to experience Cabanas for breakfast and the Pirate Buffet.

The breakfast buffet included hashbrowns and breakfast potatoes, hot cereals and grits, bacon and breakfast sausage, scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, mushrooms and tomatoes, scrambled egg whites, turkey sausage and turkey bacon, corned beef hash, beans, pancakes and Mickey waffles, fried eggs, omelets, sticky buns, breakfast sandwiches, a selection of pastries, fresh fruit, cold cereals, yogurt, and a cold case with bagel toppings like tomatoes, smoked salmon, cheese, yogurt parfaits and various cream cheeses.

There is so much to choose from, there just has to be something to satisfy everyone! Our favorite dish was the breakfast sandwiches! Sausage, egg and cheese on an English muffin. Yum. Much better than the fast food version.

If you would like more information on the Pirate Buffet check out our post here.

We highly recommend stopping by Cabanas for a delicious meal on your next cruise on the Disney Magic.
