Goofy's Playhouse - Disneyland's Toontown

On three trips in a row to Disneyland we avoided Mickey's Toontown. There's nothing wrong with Toontown, we just used our time for other magical pursuits. However on this last trip in September we spent almost three hours in this land alone. In case you don't know, Toontown is where Mickey and his friends live. There are two rides - Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin and Gadget's Go Coaster - as well as two quick service restaurants and a couple of snack stands. There are also some character meeting opportunities to include meeting Mickey in his movie barn! The draw for us though were the houses - especially Goofy's Playhouse! Goofy's Playhouse is a great place for little ones to burn off some energy. Christian loved it. The main play area is Goofy's garden. There are large produce boxes and fruits to climb on and through. There is also a small slide.       Inside is a noise maker piano as well as some fun theme

Snacking Around the World

We are so sorry for the long intervals between blog posts – life is pretty crazy right now and by crazy we mean incredibly busy! But, have no fear, we have a new post for you now and we will also be posting again on Thursday! We’re going to take a quick break from talking about Disney Cruise Line and have a couple of posts about Disney on land. Don’t worry, when we get back to talking about DCL in about a week we’ll be talking about the best part – FOOD! Speaking of food – that’s what we’re going to be telling you about today! We’re sure that at least some of you have heard about Drinking Around the World at Epcot. Adult beverages are available in each of the 11 countries around World Showcase that are specific to that country. However, drinking around the world is not for everyone (i.e. those under 21, pregnant/nursing women, and those just not interested in drinking) and for those there is Snacking Around the World. You can also couple your Snacking and Drinking Around the W

Disney Wonder Alaska Cruise - Port Days

It has been an incredibly busy few weeks, but we finally have a little time we're going to talk about port days!       The Wonder docks in three amazingly beautiful port cities - Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan. You can choose to explore these cities on your own or you can book a port adventure. Port adventures are available in all three cities and there is one for every age, activity level, and budget. We'll have another post about each of the port adventures we took part in.       Skagway Ketchiakn Port times are listed on the daily navigator for that day. Once the the ship has docked and is cleared by the local authorities you are free to go ashore! You will dock earlier in the day, around 7am , in Skagway and Juneau - there is more time to explore on these two days. Just before the all ashore call there will be an announcement to inform you of where the gangway is so that you can go ashore. Where you will exit depends on the port and the tide l
