Rancho Del Zocalo Restaurante

With Disneyland only a six hour drive from our house we have been there a few times this year, and we will be going two more times! I know, it’s crazy, but because we’re annual pass holders now, so we’re getting our money’s worth. The dining opportunities in Disneyland are not as numerous as they are at Disney World. Also, Disneyland doesn’t have the dining plan like Disney World, so you have to work hard to get your money’s worth when it comes to food inside the park. On our last trip we only ate one meal per day in the from a park restaurant, so we had to make that one meal count. Rancho Del Zocalo Restaurante is located just inside the large log doors of Fronteirland. The Mexican restaurant is themed as you would expect – Mexican. Adobe archways, colorful tiles, fountains, and the wrought-iron sign above the entrance help to make you feel as if you have been transported. Before you enter the main building take a moment to look at the menu posted outside to mak

Carousel of Progress - Attraction Overview

Disney World if full of amazing things to see, do, and of course eat. Today though, we’re going to talk about one of my absolute favorite attractions, Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress. The Carousel of Progress can be found directly across from Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin in Tomorrowland. The first time we entered this attraction we had no idea what was in store for us, but now it is a must do every trip. Once you enter and find a seat, sit back, relax, enjoy some air conditioning and journey through the 20 th Century. This attraction, which was designed by Walt Disney himself for the 1964-65 World’s Fair, transports you through four different decades of the 20 th Century. The entire theater consists of five rooms, including the one in which you start, and the seating area moves through the circular building. No need to worry about moving at all, so enjoy the show and the shade during your 21 minute journey. Throughout the show learn about the advances i

Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner - 1900 Park Fare

It has been a while since we talked about Disney World, so we’re going to take a quick break from the Disneyland posts to talk about an awesome character meal at Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort. 1900 Park Fare is located near the entrance in the main building of the Grand Floridian Resort. While you wait for your reservation time take time to enjoy the grand lobby.  1900 Park Fare also serves breakfast buffet style where guests can dine with Alice, the Mad Hatter, Tigger, Pooh, and Mary Poppins at the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast. The restaurant itself, is themed, like the rest of the resort – Victorian. Character meals are a great way to get your fix of both great Disney food and Disney characters in one setting. There are a lot of great meals all over property, but Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare is unique. Here you can meet characters from the beloved Disney fairytale and on our visit we were able to meet Cinderella’s step-si
