We Went to Peppa Pig Theme Park!
This past weekend we went to Peppa Pig Theme Park and all had an oinktastic time.
Bella LOVES Peppa Pig. It is on in our house all of the time. And when we foudn out that Peppa Pig Theme Park was opening we starting making plans visit.
Peppa Pig Theme Park is located in Winter Haven, Florida. It opened in February 2022, and it is a stand alone park at the Legoland Florida Resort.
It is a family park, but it is especially perfect for those with preschoolers. With that said, Christian, who turns 8 this week had a great time.
Rides
The park has five rides, all of them are A LOT of fun.
The first ride that you'll see when you walk into the park is Daddy Pig's Roller Coaster. Daddy Pig is trying to take a shortcut, but he, and you, end up back at Peppa's house. The roller coaster car itself looks like Daddy Pig's car, and to get to the ride you'll need to walk through Peppa's house. You go around the track twice befor the ride is over, it is perfect for a first roller coaster. The height requirement for this attraction is 36".
Peppa Pig's Balloon Ride is a cute way to see the whole park! You're the winner of the grand prize, a ride in Miss Rabbit's Hot Air Balloon. This ride does not have a height requirement.
Try to ring the bell on Mr. Bull's High Striker. Bounce up and down on the slow moving drop ride. Both kids LOVED this one. Keep in mind that because this ride can only hold two adults and up to four kids at once, the line for this one can get long. The height requirement for this attraction is 34".
Take to the high seas for a pirate adventure on Granddad Dog's Pirate Boat Ride. This ride is a lot of fun and is perfect for kids of all ages. There is no height requirement for this attraction.
If your little ones are like George and love dinosaurs, they'll love Grampy Rabbit's Dinosaur Adventure. Ride a dinosaur around the dino park. The height requirement for this attraction is 34".
Play Areas
There are a ton of fun little play areas throughout the park. These include:
Fun Fair - Here is a tent with fun fun-house mirrors that little ones will love. There are also FREE fair-sylte games like ring toss, hook a duck, and beanbag toss.
George's Fort - Find your way through the maze to George's fort!
Madame Gazelle's Nature Trail - Can you figure out who left those footprints on the cute nature trail?!
Peppa's Pedal Bike Tour and George's Tricycle Trail - Kids of all ages can ride around the trail here. There is a special area just for kids ages 2 and under where they can ride little trikes that don't have pedals.
Pirate Island Sand Play - Dig for buried treasure or build a sandcastle!
There are THREE separate playgrounds that are all right next to each other. Climb, slide, and play at Peppa Pig's Treehouse, Rebecca' Rabbit's Playground, and Grandpa Pig's Greenhouse.
Muddy Puddles Splash Area - Both kids LOVED this area. There were dumping buckets, ducks spraying water, and waterslides! There were two racing slides and two bigger slides. I was really impressed with the size of the splash area and what all was there. The kids could easily have played in this part of the park for hours if we let them.
Characters and Shows
At Mr. Potato's Showtime Arena you'll find two diffrent shows throughout the day, Peppa Pig Comes to Play and Peppa Pig's Treasure Hunt Adventure. We didn't see either of the shows, and I'm not sure if they took place that day because it was raining. We did get to meet Peppa and George, though!
You can also enjoy some AC and watch episodes of Peppa Pig in the Cinema.
Merchandise
Mr. Fox's Shop offers toys, a few shirts, and packaged ice cream treats.
Food
If you need fuel to contunie having loads of fun, you can stop in at Miss Rabbit's Diner for sandwiches, flatbreads, salads, and more. We tried the Chocolate Muddy Puddle Milkshake, and really enjoyed it.
Tips
- All of the rides are outside, so if it rains, some things may be closed. For a short time while we were there Daddy Pig's Roller Coaster was closed due to weather.
- The park is least crowded when it is raining, and right when it opens for the day.
- Tickets can be purchased online or once you arrive. Active duty military can get a free ticket at the ticket window at the park entrance with valid ID.
- You CAN bring your own food into the park, and there is a cute picnic area to enjoy your lunch near the Fun Fair.
- There are changing stalls at the Splash Pad, but there are no towels. Be sure to bring your own so you can enjoy this amazing splash area.
- You will need to park at the Legoland Resort, and at the time of writing, parking costs $25.
- Peppa Pig Theme park does NOT accept cash anywhere in the park. This was a bit of a bummer for us because Bella wanted to use her birthday money to buy herself a toy.
Our Thoughts
All four of us had a fun time at Peppa Pig Theme Park. It is a cute park filled with statues of characters from the show that your kids will love taking photos with. The rides are perfect for preschoolers, but they're fun for the whole family, too.
You can easily do everthing in the park in a few hours. We enjoyed our morning at the park.
The only down sides for us were the need to bring your own towel. We were staying at a hotel in Orlando, and did not bring any towels from home, so we used a shirt to dry the kids off once we got back to the car. Additionally, the park being cashless was a bummer since Bella wanted to buy her own toy. We did end up purchasing the toy she wanted for her and she paid us back, but it is always more fun for little ones when they buy it themself.
Overall, we had a good time and will be going back some time in the future.
