Our Guide to Disney Cruise Line

Over the last few months we’ve told you all about our cruise onboard the Disney Fantasy. Seriously, we had such an amazing time and as a family we love to talk about the trips that we’ve taken and the trips that we have coming up – at least a little bit when they come up in conversation almost every day. When one cruise ends it’s sad, but the magic doesn’t end! And we always have another cruise to look forward to – the same goes for our trips to Disney World! We love sharing about our experience here, and we hope that our posts provide useful, helpful, and entertaining information that gets your excited for your next trip! We posted a Disney Cruise tips post about three years ago, but a lot has changed since then, and we have taken a lot more cruises since then and now have more information to share with you! We’ve also come to realize, especially while editing and adding new information, that this post is less about tips and more of a guide to cruising with Disney. Don’t worry,

Embrace Your Inner Master Builder! A Visit to the LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Dallas

Image
Everything is Awesome! That’s what they say in the LEGO Movie and that’s how Christian felt about the LEGOLAND Discovery Center this past weekend. Let’s starting by saying that we’re a LEGO family. We all love to build and create with the colorful bricks. Bella loves her Duplos, and Christian especially loves to build sets, and to build super cool things that come into his head. He is pretty much a master builder like Emmett and his friends.   As I work on this post he is sitting in his room playing with his LEGOS. This past weekend (August 10) we took a weekend family road trip to the Dallas, Texas area to visit the LEGOLAND Discovery Center at the Grapevine Mills mall in Grapevine, Texas. Christian and Howard enjoyed their LEGO experience while Bella and I walked around the mall. The main reason that all four of us did not visit LEGOLAND is because Bella is still only 15 months old and would not have been able to do much in the Discovery Center. She’s still in that “I

Make a Pit Stop at Flo's Cafe

If you’re looking to refuel with something quick and delicious while on board the Disney Fantasy then Flo’s Cafe is worth the pit stop! Located on deck 11 near the Mickey and Donald pools, and just outside of Quiet Cove, Flo’s serves up quick service eats for lunch, dinner, and snacks. The area features three walk up windows each with its own eats and Cars theme! Luigi’s Pizza – As the name implies Luigi’s serves up a variety of fresh baked pizzas. They pizzas aren’t fancy – not New York or Chicago style – but if you’re looking for a satisfying slice, or three, this is the place to get it! Choice normally include Cheese, Pepperoni, Veggie, and a Daily Special. Some days there may be BBQ Chicken, some days Margherita, on Star Wars Day at Sea we enjoyed a slice of Death Star Pizza and one of Boba Fett Pizza. Tow Mater’s Grill – This is the place to get burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, fries, chips, and daily specials! During our last sailing some of the daily specials were

Feast with Chip and Dale at Epcot's Garden Grill

Everyone has their favorite Disney Park, and for our family it’s Epcot. We love all four theme parks at Walt Disney World, but Epcot just edges the other three out by a little bit. That may change for Christian on our next visit, though, once he has a chance to check out Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios. Epcot has so much to offer, fun rides, learning experiences, culture, and of course FOOD! All four parks have great dining options, but Epcot is the place to go for Disney foodies. There are so many great places to eat around the park, especially in World Showcase where you are immersed in the culture and the food of each country! Our favorite place to eat at Epcot, though, is found in Future World. The Land Pavilion, home to Soarin’ and Living with the Land, is also home to Garden Grill. The restaurant is located on the second floor, which here happens to be the floor that you enter on. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all served family-style here which mea
