Our Ultimate Disney Bucket List
Everyone
has a bucket list in life, things you want to do and/or places you want to see
before you, well kick the bucket. We love to travel and we love Disney – in case
that wasn’t evident – and we a travel and a Disney bucket list. Our travel list
is a bit too long to share (it is pretty much the whole world), but our Disney
bucket list is just the right size to share.
There
are a lot of lists out there that are specific to what the writer wants to do
at just Disney World or Disneyland. This list encompasses all things Disney.
Here
is what we want to accomplish at Disney properties around the world, and what
we’ve completed so far from the list.
Visit
All of the Disney Parks Around the World – There are six Disney Park Resorts
around the world, Disneyland in California, Disney World in Florida, Disneyland
Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Hong King and Shanghai Disneyland. We have
been to Disneyland in California and Disney World in Florida. (2 of 6)
Dine
at Every Walt Disney World Restaurant – As Disney World changes and develops
more lands more and more places to eat are added or changed. There are currently
over 300 places to get a bite to eat – these include signature restaurants,
casual sit down restaurants, counter service restaurants, snack stands,
bakeries, snack carts and special dining experiences. We have enjoyed our fair
share, but we still have a long way to go. (76 of over 300)
Stay
at all of the Walt Disney World Resort – There are over 20 resort hotels at
Walt Disney World. Each resort has its own unique theme and atmosphere. We have
stayed at a total of six different resorts, but not all of them have been
enjoyed by all three of us. As a family we have stayed at All-Star Movies,
All-Star Music, Caribbean Beach Resort and Port Orleans Riverside. Howard has
stayed at the Polynesian Resort and Miriya has stayed at the Cabins at Fort
Wilderness. We still have a long way to
go, but we’re up to the challenge. (6 of 21)
Stay
at all of the Disneyland Hotels – Disneyland has a lot less space than Disney
World, but there are still three beautiful hotels on property. We have stayed
at the Disneyland Hotel. (1 of 3)
Snack
Around the World at Epcot – Epcot’s World Showcase represents 11 counties from
around the world. Each country has at least one restaurant as well as snacking
opportunities. We have completed the challenge of enjoying a snack from each of
the 11 countries on one trip. We did spread it out over two days, though. (Complete)
Complete
5 In Park Tours – Disney World and Disneyland offer behind the scenes tours
throughout the parks and there is something for every taster – culinary tours,
animal tours at Animal Kingdom, train yours and more! We have done the Wild
Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom and I would love to do it again! (1 of 5 – Wild Africa
Trek)
Take
Down the Kitchen Sink Sundae at Beaches and Cream – Google this sundae, seriously.
It is meant to serve four people and contains a whole lot of sweets. If you
love ice cream and sweets like we do, you may want to check this sundae out.
Run
a runDisney Race – We were both signed up for races this past January during
the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. Howard ran the 10K and Miriya was all
ready to run the Half Marathon, but it was canceled due to weather. We’ll just
have to sign up and train for another race weekend! (1 of 2)
Sail
on Every Disney Cruise Line Ship – Disney Cruise Line currently has four ships,
the Magic, Wonder, Fantasy and Dream. There are also two more ships that are
set to debut in 2021 and 2023. We have sailed three times with DC, twice on the
Wonder and once on the Magic. We also have two more cruises booked on the
Wonder this year! (2 of 4)
Take
a Transatlantic Cruise with Disney Cruise Line – We love to cruise and a 14/15
night cruise from the United States to Europe just sounds amazing to us.
Dine
at Palo – Palo is an adult only dining experience on all four of the Disney
Cruise Line ships. These meals are elegant and filling! Brunch is served on
select days and dinner is served nightly. This Italian feast comes at an extra cost
($30 per person), but it is well worth it! We have enjoyed brunch, but we haven’t
done dinner yet. That’s on our list for our next cruise. (1 of 2)
Visit
the Walt Disney Family Museum – The Walt Disney Family Museum is located in San
Francisco, California and is all about Walt Disney.
Stay
at Aulani, a Disney Resort – Disney also has a resort in Hawaii! Aulani, a
Disney Resort offers a tranquil Hawaiian experience with a bit of Disney magic.
Be
an Annual Pass holder – We completed this by being Disneyland Annual Pass
holders for a year before we moved from California. (Completed)
