Cars Land at Disney California Adventure

This week we’re going to take a quick break from cruise posts and talk about Disneyland. Man do we miss that place. We went from going every couple of months with annual passes to not knowing when we’re going to get back to California to visit the Mouse at his original house. We’ve talked about food a lot lately, so today we’ll talk about something that won’t make you hungry… well maybe. One of Christian’s favorite places to hang out at the Disneyland Resort and one of the most amazingly themed areas at the entire resort is Cars Land! When you step into Cars Land you really do feel as though you have stepped into the Disney Pixar movie – the details are amazing! It is amazing during the day, but it is most amazing at dusk. With the sun setting and all of the neon turning on it is breathtaking. An Evening with Jose Carioca - Carioca's Aboard the Disney Magic

We dined at the third main dining restaurant on the last night of our cruise. Carioca’s is named after Jose Carioca, the parrot and friend of Donald Duck from The Three Caballeros. Jose Carioca is from Rio De Janeiro and the whole restaurant has a Rio and Brazil feel to it. Paper lanterns hang from the ceiling and a nighttime cityscape is the back drop for a great photo opportunity when you walk in. As always, the meal started off with bread and on this particular evening Warm Banana Bread with Mango-Mint Mojo was brought to the table. The mint and mango combination was an interesting one, one that was definitely tropical, however not exactly pleasing for those that are not fans of mango. (Miriya does not like mango.) The bread itself, however, was warm and full of delicious banana flavor.
